And right above it, you have the Category and Country directories which opens into sub-directories, then channels--with everything well thought out and in categorical/alphabetical order for easy, quick access.

NETVO And Other Technology: This innovation allows users to watch real television channels without the use of a TV-Out/s-video/PCTV card and coax cable. It also gives users the ability to record channels and store them to a Favorites file with real time or set pre-defined time capability. You can even upload channels to an ipod to share with others. The Add New Channel… allows users to add their own Internet channel of interest--just add the URL, Country, Category and other information, then click OK and it‘s done.
There is also a Scan for Available Channels feature which lets the user update his/her TV player channels. This replaces any broken channels from the database and while in the process, updates the channels--an issue that affects all players whereas, users have to wait for the vendor to do the updating. But not with the Pro player, this issue is resolved. With this technology, Dynamic Software West ensures users will receive zero dead channels through a Channel Lock Technology.

Loading & Playback Time: The TV player has a very fast, reliable loading and playback time generally within 20 seconds after clicking a channel link. Even non-USA and non-English channels were very quick to play. Using a 56k modem only works when playing radio station (narrow bandwidths). Some TV channels may work but many won’t.
Using a wireless (wifi) connection improves accessing and playing channels but not the ones with higher bandwidths. When using an Internet broadband connection (DSL or High Speed) at 500kbps or higher, all channels will play quickly. Note: Higher the connection speed, better the overall performance and video quality.
Definition & Image Quality: Since all channels are not created equal in terms of bandwidth size, for the most part, the definition and quality is good, very good, and excellent (DVD-like quality) when using either a wifi or Internet broadband connection (DSL or High Speed) at 500 kbps or higher. However, when using a broadband connection many channels really had excellent video quality.
Channel Variety: The Pro TV Player is pre-loaded/programmed to access over 6,000 channels/stations that includes big and small networks from over 78 Countries--virtually in any language. There is a wide variety of channels/VOD in English and non-English which has more or less channels in each of their respective Country and Category directories.

Update: As of 3/12/09, the Satellite PC Pro 'Scan for Available Channels' and sending emails to tech support from the member's area isn't working properly. We have notified the merchant and awaiting a response as to when these issues will be corrected. This shouldn't discourage anyone from downloading the software as the many perks still out number this shortcoming.
